Experienced Bar Crew

Are you the new face of the award winning Yew Tree Inn?

Personality is key here – we’re talking chatty, bubbly, bright, enthusiastic – you’ve got to show passion for getting to know our regulars (there’s a lot of them!), must be friendly and welcoming as you’ll be the first point of contact for anyone walking in the door and you must have a hard working mentality. We pride ourselves on being a team here so prima donnas and martyrs can look elsewhere!

In return we can offer full training on our products, service style etc, full share of all tips and a good hourly pay rate. We believe in making work as much fun as possible and you’ll become part of what is a great team already! Senior Chef de Partie/Sous Chef

The critically acclaimed Yew Tree Inn, which re-opened in 2010 after a full refurbishment, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Chef de Partie/Sous Chef to run the busiest section in our kitchen using fresh, locally sourced ingredients from an array of artisan producers.  The pub is currently listed in The Good Food Guide and Michelin Guide and recently won the prestigious “Cheshire Dining Pub of 2014” in The Good Pub Guide 2014.

We see the ideal candidates to be:

  • · Confident in taking charge of a busy service

  • · Hard working, with a dedication to working to high standards

  • · Able to work in a high pressure environment

  • · Creative when working with tight budgets and seasonal produce

You will have a real passion for food and locally sought produce, possess good management and organisation skills and the ability to work under pressure to identify and solve problems. We have a happy and lively kitchen, so need a strong, confident individual, who is willing to become an integral part of our team.

Commis Chef

We are looking for the “next generation” – the chef who will grow with us, learn from us, become an integral part of The Yew Tree Team.  It’s not going to be easy, in fact it will be hard hard work, but it’ll be worth it as you’ll be working at one of the best pubs in the country, renowned for it’s freshly made, locally sourced food.

We’re looking for a Commis chef who has maybe a year’s experience or is doing an NVQ Course to start ASAP.  You’ll need to be switched on, prepared to forego a family/social life, certainly not expect to party with your mates at the weekend, prepared to do whatever it takes to maintain the high standards we expect here.

In return you’ll train with a talented team of chefs and you’ll develop quickly.  You’ll work in a pressured but fun environment and you’ll soon become one of the family.  We’ll also pay you pretty well and you’ll take an equal share in all tips.  If you’re interested then contact us at kitchen@theyewtreebunbury.com or on 01829 260 274
